Video Game Award Show: picks and predictions

The Video game awards show will be on December 10 this year and like every year I will be watching the legendary Geoff Keighley get up on that stage to announce some winners.

There are always some game reveals and trailers each year that I like to watch for as well but the main part of the show is about the awards so here are a few of my picks and what I predict actually wins in some of the main categories.

Game of the year pick: Hades

Prediction: Last of us 2

I absolutely loved Hades, it was my favorite game of 2020, but I imagine hype or name alone will carry one of the bigger games. I'm honestly surprised it was even nominated.

(Animal Crossing should win just because).

Best Art Direction pick: Ori and the will of the Wisp

Prediction: Ori and the will of the wisp

Ori is a moving painting and a work of art. Play this game because I promise you will at least like looking at it for a few hours.

Best Action pick: Hades

Prediction: Doom Eternal

Any one of these can win and it would make sense, Hades is the only one I've played, and it has super fast-paced high-speed action hack and slash combat that gets your insides moving and your heart beating.

Best Ongoing pick: Destiny 2

Prediction: Warzone

I play Destiny 2 on the regular it's one of my favorite games and is constantly getting better while consistently keeping new things coming in. I can hop on here and just chill for a few hours grinding out missions, challenges and whatever else. I think Warzone will win because it has been like a top 3 game since it came out.

Best multiplayer pick: Valorant

Prediction: Valorant

I played the crap out of Valorant when it dropped and it will be a big name in the esports scene for years to come. I think it will win but I can see Warzone also winning and if Fall guys or Among us wins this it was for the memes and they don't deserve it. (I loved Fall Guys tho so no hate) ((I hate Among Us)).

Best esports game pick: Valorant

Prediction: League of Legends

Valorant will be a big name in esports for years to come same as its counter part CSGO and League of Legends. COD esports for MW cycle was a joke and Fortnite is uh... yea.

Best Indie pick: Hades

Prediction: Fall Guys

Hades is my pick I imagine Fall Guys wins both are good wins in my book.
