Yes, if you know me you know I love Halo, year in and year out I will always be hype for the next one to come out, and we have been waiting a while for this one.
In the trailer we finally got some game play and the "open" world game play looks very fitting for the type of game it is and I am very excited to see how that looks across a full story and campaign.
People are talking about the grappling hook, sprint, deployables, abilities and how much they like or hate them. I have never understood the constant complaining of wanting them to go back to the classic style of Halo which was great in 2007 but its 2020 and to compete in a world with so many games you have to do more. I personally like it all; Halo 5's combat and movement was really good and has so much depth. I hope to see a lot of it return from 5 and be even better with things like a grappling hook, and maybe other armor abilities?
Everything from the Banished to the Chief, to the world looked really good and I am pretty excited for this next game.
One thing I hope is they do a better job with writing and direction of what the story is going to be. I also hope that they can tell a story that's in-depth in the lore but can be played independently without knowing much of any of the backstory. That was a problem people complained about in the story of Halo 4 and some of Halo 5, much of the story could be confusing if you didn't know much of what was going on outside of the main games.
I wish we could have seen anything from multiplayer or any other things they may be working on for the game (BR, Forge, Firefight, co-op) but overall I am pretty pleased with what they showed us.
Still no specific launch date as it said Holiday 2020, but I imagine it will be very close to the date the Xbox series X comes out.
