Ubisoft has revealed a project they have been working on for a while now that will be their entry into the hot world that is Battle Royale games.

Ever since the explosion in popularity of games like H1Z1, PUBG and Fortnite; the video game industry took a shift creating a new genre that saw every new game try to cash in with a battle royale of their own.

Now gaming giant Ubisoft is putting in their entry (a bit late) to the genre in their upcoming Free to play game titled Hyper Scape.

On July 2 we will be getting a lot more information on what this is as of right now there is next to nothing about what this game is.

What we know right now:

Hyperscape is a AAA multiplayer fast-paced FPS Battle Royale from Ubisoft Montreal known for games like Rainbow 6 and Assassins Creed named Hyper Scape

Currently their is a teaser site up HERE where you can sign up for more information.

It is said to have a strong integration with Twitch, meaning that streamers and viewers may both be able to get involved in a game while it is being streamed. A notable game I can think of is Darwin Project a cartoony battle royale that allowed viewers to use points to send things into the game.

It is coming to PC and consoles and will be free to play according to Hyper Scape Intel on twitter.

Thoughts:

Other than that we have next to nothing on what this game is. Personally Battle Royale games are fun but get boring after a bit, I don't play many of the ones out right now, but I occasionally check in to Apex as that has always been my favorite one to play.

Is it too late for Ubisoft to get some battle royale hype going? I don't THINK so.

Fortnite hype is pretty low, but games like Fortnite, Apex and Warzone are still doing numbers, and everyone loves a new one if it comes out and is good quality.

So we will just wait and see on July 2 what this game is.
