Taiwanese Indie Developer Moving From Horror To Action Platformer, Crowdfunded In Less Than 24 Hours

Red Candle Games a game developer, based out of Taiwan, known for their notable horror games Devotion and Detention has now moved away from psychological horror and into the Action Adventure Platform genre with their most recent development project Nine Sols.

On the Nine Sols website they are crowdfunding to back the project as they work on its development. In less than 24 hours they surpassed their goal and still have over a month left.

They describe Nine Sols as “A journey of Asian fantasy inspired by Sekiro, Hollow Knight and Katana Zero.”

This does look to take a lot of inspiration from Hollow Knight, but has a lot more color and style.

They said on the website their goal for release is Q2 of 2023, which is somewhere from April-June of next year. This one will for sure be on my radar
