We did not get a lot of game play over the full hour of the Xbox show, with 20 something Xbox games and 10 console exclusive games we saw a lot of trailers and "in-engine" footage.
That being said I am pretty excited for a lot coming from Xbox and they hinted at even more news coming later in the year as they didn't show all the Xbox game studios during this hour of games.
The best thing is that everything shown today will be coming to Xbox Gamepass, Microsoft's game subscription service when they launch.
This was a games showcase so we basically got nothing about the new consoles, price, launch date or much about X-cloud, but that was expected.
Here is the list of games shown during the event in some way:
Halo Infinite got some campaign game play showing us more of the world and the continued story of the Master Chief.
State of Decay 3 got an announcement cinematic that shows a woman living a life of survival in the post-apocalyptic zombie world.
Forza Motorsport gets a reveal as does every Xbox show.
Everwild looks really interesting with very Breath of the Wild vibes in it. I am excited to see more of this but for now this is all we have.
Tell Me Why, I thought this was Life is Strange 3, but in the end it basically was. It looks like a very story driven game with a mysterious plot. I'm interested in seeing how it plays and finding out more about it.
Ori and the will of the Wisp is getting an upgrade for when the new console drops increasing frames and being able to render more sounds and graphics using the new hardware of the Xbox Series X. If you own the game already you will be able to use Smart Delivery to play on the new console when it releases.
The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is the first DLC coming to Obsidians popular The Outer Worlds. Looks to have an interesting spooky vibe with at least one new playable area, new weapons and new characters. This was one of a few games with an actual date set for September 9, 2020
Grounded a small scale survival game also made by Obsidian is set to come to early access and Xbox preview on July 28. I am pretty interested in this one the world is a pretty cool idea for a survival "Ark/Rust" type of game.
Avowed is Obsidian's big RPG they have been hinting at and it looks like they will be coming for Bethesda's neck with this one. It is a high -fantasy Skyrim looking games and there wasn't really any game play but the world looks really interesting.
As Dusk Falls had no game play but based on what was shown looks to be a very story-driven game with a very interesting set of events told in possibly the style of a graphic novel.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 got some screen time but they didn't show anything new basically that they are still working on it and are excited. Here is last years reveal
Psychonauts 2 treated us to some Jack Black Vocals over some more game play of what is to come in this new Double Fine game
Destiny 2 announced they will be releasing all current DLC and the base game to Game pass when the Beyond light expansion drops in November. We also were treated to a premier of new game play featuring a little bit more of the new subclass coming with the expansion. Interesting the Microsoft's original Flagship studio is somewhat back to working with Microsoft.
Stalker 2 an interesting title set in the Russian post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by radiation. I never played the original Stalker games but they looked like a different take of the Metro games.
Warhammer Darktide looks like a spooky 4-player coop game possibly similar to a Left for dead style game set in the world of Warhammer.
Tetris effect: Connected, what I thought was a cutesy GAMERS RISE UP trailer was actually a Tetris game reveal with multiplayer included. Uh cool I don't really know who is out there actually wanting more and more Tetris. If you are then this might be the game for you.
The Gunk looked visually pleasing to me, I wanted to see more of it, but what we got was pretty good.
The Medium is a psychological thriller/Horror game where you play as a Medium stuck between two realities. In the trailer it said that both worlds will be simultaneous rendered while playing. This looks cool, but really spooky.
Phantasy Star online 2
CrossfireX got some more game play of the story and what it looks to be. I think it looked like a Battlefield 3 military shooter story. Don't know much else about this game.
Fable! Last but not least we got a Fable reveal with little to nothing other than the fact they are working on something Fable. In the trailer it just said Fable so I imagine it is either some kind of remaster maybe Fable 1 remake, or something new to the series. I don't think this is "Fable 4" but still really cool to see.
