Ubisoft held their 'Ubisoft Forward' gaming conference to kick off e3 Saturday afternoon to showcase all the upcoming projects coming out of the big publisher.

I was a bit disappointed in the amount of what they showed with not much new and one of their two bigger surprises was leaked the morning of.

I'd give this show a C+, it wasn't bad but they really didn't get me overly excited for anything, but it was enough that they added some things to my radar.

Rainbow Six: Extraction

They kicked it off with a closer look at Rainbow Six: Extraction

This is a spinoff game from the hit multiplayer title Rainbow Six Siege. There was a limited time event a few years ago where people could play a game mode that brought the idea of a more PvE based experience to R6 Siege.

That has now evolved into this new title that looks like a tactical team based stealth take on the Left 4 Dead model.

It will feature well known characters and gadgets from R6:Siege but also said it will include much more to unlock as you play.

I thought this looked like a really fun take on the guns blazing style of Left 4 Dead that gives it the twist and style of a Rainbow Six game.

This one is set to release Sept. 16

Rocksmith+

Ubisoft apparently has a 'game' built to help people learn the guitar. I have never heard of this but I thought it was a really cool use of game development technology to create a 'game' that teaches you the guitar.

They basically announced a newer version with new features and talked about further support for their system.

Would be cool to see this for more instruments. You can register for the PC beta now.

Riders Republic

Ubisoft is bringing a MMO'esque racing extreme sports game?

Republic Riders looks like a big open world racing game featuring mountain biking races to wing suit races. And the races are massive.

Racing games aren't my thing but the game itself looks pretty good if you are a fan of big social games and racing.

This one is coming Sept. 2

Rainbow Six: Siege

They showed a little glimpse into the next part of the Rainbow Six Siege story, a new character and crossplay is coming to consoles, and it looks like PC will be separate no crossplay for you. (which is probably for the better)

Just Dance 2022

Just Dance 2022... like we didn't know that was coming. Its a thing. For you dancers it will be on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, One and Nintendo Switch and comes Nov. 4.

Assassins Creed Valhalla

If you somehow trucked through all the content in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and are needing more (Respect to you) They showed a glimpse into the next DLC the Siege of Paris with a lot of new things coming to the game and then also confirmed they will supporting the game well into the second year after it's launch.

I can't say I'm not hype for some more Viking content, but also a GIANT game is getting more and more support like a 'live-service' title is cool and intimidating at the same time for someone who likes playing lots of everything.

Far Cry 6

Not much news for Far Cry 6 the game, but they did announce the plans for post-launch with a villains based season pass. It looks like the DLC will be experiences where you get to play as the most well known villains of the past games.

I don't really like the idea of announcing plans for post launch support before the game is out but the idea of playing as Vaas and Joseph has me excited anyways.

Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Poor Ubisoft, because what I think was the biggest announcement of the day was Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope the sequel to the first Mario and Rabbids game.

This got leaked on the internet the morning before the announcement so we knew it was coming but cool still to see that a very experimental title is getting a second game and hopefully can really build off of a game a lot of people liked.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

And last but most least to me. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Yes, Ubisoft is making a game about the blue Avatar people. Its going to be First Person open world and I will continue to watch for this, but I really don't care for Avatar stuff.... so ehhh. Sorry to Avatar fans maybe it will be really good and I will eat my words.
